Storing Sunblocker shade

At a recent ralley, a gentleman was gracious enough to demonstrate his Sunblocker shade that he said will just roll up with the patio awning. It was very helpful in providing shade when the patio awning is extended. His coach was similar to mine, in that the awning extends straight out in order to clear the slideout, and results in very little shade in the patio area. So I ordered one, and in the instructions, one is warned to remove the shade manually, and NOT roll the shade up with awning, which may result in some damage. Has anyone added one of these shades, and if so, can it be rolled up with awning?

We have a 12ft wide one we bought in Quartzsite. I did roll it up for the first couple of months, but then noticed that the motor was struggleing, so now I remove it. I know folks who have 6ft wide ones & roll it up all the time.

We roll it up in the awning IF we are just moving site to site in a short area. If we are going to be traveling then we remove it and roll it up with our windshield screens.

We felt like the awning really didn't "lock" down good with the screen in there.
