I own a 2009 Winnebago Aspect, 30', with two slideouts. Recently noticed what appears to be a small stress crack on the lower right hand corner of the coach body, not on the front slide itself. Since it is still under warranty, the dealer has received approval to repair it. Is this a common problem and what, if any, considerations and/or recourse do I have in the future, if the problem recurs, especially after the warranty expires?

Welcome to IRV2. You have certainly come to the best place on the web to get helpful info and to share RV experiences.

I do remember some years ago, a certain model of Winnebago Journey was prone to stress cracks near one of the slides. The absolute fix was to add a brace in the wall in the area of the crack. That may surely not be the case in your situation....you may just have a crack in the filon that will be fixed more simply. The question I would ask the dealer is what did Winnebago tell him about the crack and how will they fix it.

I had a 1/8" wide crack in my coach at the top corner near the living room slide. My coach was used when I got it and out of warranty so I sealed the crack with Pro Flex caulk. It has held well for 5 years and is barely visible.

Let us know how it goes. Wishing you many happy and safe miles in your Winnebago.
