All,
I have a 2001 Suncruiser (new to me) and my wife discovered two switches below the top step, behind the kick plate, anyone know what these are for? I have a disconnect switch to the left of the steps, which obviously works through a relay, are the other two swithches just mechanical disconnects?

Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to the Winnebago site, lots of good info there, plus give them a call or email and they are really good to answer your questions.

Hope this is some help.

We have a 2001 Adventurer which I believe is the Winnebago equivelant to the Itasca Suncruiser. On our coach there is a panel with a number of 12 volt circuit brealers and solenoids behind the top step kick plate. There are however no switches. Unfortunately there is nothing in the owners manual about this series of circuit breakers and solenoids. You can get some information as to what comes factory installed by visiting the Winnebago Industries website.

Wiring Diagrams

The disconnect switch at the left of the steps is for the house batteries only. In 2001 there was no disconnect switch for the chassis on gas powered coaches. The switches may be something added by the previous owner to disconnect the chassis battery. I added a chassis battery disconnect so I didn't have to physically have to disconnect a battery cable to keep the battery from running down while the motorhome was in storage.

Thanks all, this was my post under my paw-in-law's account. What I thought were switches, were actually latches, once I turned them, it became far more obvious. They hold another cover in place (beneath the carpet kick panel), under which lies more push button breakers! Just as you suggested hikedog. So, one more thing I've learned about my RV. I have just embraced all these things as small challenges that enhance the fun of ownership. Thanks again for the assist fellas,
Kev

Think nothing strange of your find so soon after ownership. I found those same latches when I removed the carpet this last fall to install Laminated wood flooring throughout the rig. I have had our rig for 3 years and did not know they were there. Surprise, Surprise, I was.
