Suncruiser CD Changer

All,
Been working through little issues with my (newly purchased) '01 Suncruiser, slowly chipping away at them one by one. So far, the one that is just a nagging issue that I have been unable to resolve is the CD changer. It doesn't power up at all, the changer itself, or the faceplate control device. It's the Sony 10 disc changer. I also have a Sony head unit which works fine.

I have traced the cables from the changer above the driver seat, into the TV bay where they loop back around and come down the driver side pillar. I lose them where they head under the dash. I went throught he fuses trying to find a bad one, no luck yet, but it seems like the more I look the more I find individual fuses scatered all over the front end.

Any ideas where I should start looking for power?

Not sure if its the same one I have in my 2000 Journey but mine has a black box mounted below the radio. You point the remote at that box to turn it on and the changer mounted in an overhead cabinet gets its power from there. The radio then must be tuned to a certain freq for the changer. Can't remember for now but the freq is on the low fm side.

I have the control face mounted above my Radio, it doesn't power up pushing any of the buttons, and the remote has no effect, however; I have not replaced the batteries in the remote yet, I guess that's worth a shot. Still have not been able to find the actual power source for the changer system.

On our 2001 Horizon the control unit would come on even if the changer was disconnected. It seems that you need to trace out the power connection to the control unit. As I recall both the control unit and radio are on the same fuse. I have since replaced the entire system with an Ipod radio.
