Can anyone tell me where to look for the factory surround amp on a 2002 32V Adventurer? I have looked under the dash, in the two overheads and even removed the passenger computer table. I am trying to trace the TV sound wires. Thanks.

You may have to think outside the box on this one...

Try looking in your front bays. Granted, a very different unit, but on my 04 Vectra they put the Riverpark Q-Surround box in the outside left front bay under the driver.

Just a thought, since you seem to have eliminated most of the interior locations.

my ''surround amp'' is part of the dash radio. i turn the radio on and adjust the radio volume low to keep from having ''cross talk''.
my surround sound will not work unless the radio is turned on.

CJ7loe,

I have a Gas V10 2000 35G Adventure. My surround amp is located on the passenger's side of the dash, down low. On my unit there is a panel, covered with carpet, just in front of the passenger's feet. This panel is about 30 inches long, 6 inches in height and has two black registers for the dash heat on each end. This panel is held in place by two screws on each end of the panel that are very hard to locate. Remove this panel and the amp will be located on the left side. Just for info, does your surround amp, "pop", "squeal" and "hiss" for no reason, even with radio/TV turned off?
Mine did and I installed a "center off" (On/Off/ON) rocker switch to replace the factory "Coach/Engine" (On/On) switch. This removes the power to the amp and I don't loose my radio presets.
Hope this helps.

The amp on our 2007 Sightseer is located behind the television. I found it when I changed the old tube for an LCD.
