Having a problem getting surround sound. Stayed in AZ for several months and everything worked fine. Main Radio switch on dash was set to aux and tv/radio switch was set to tv. Left AZ and arrived in NM. We had used the radio while travelling and had main radio switch set to radio. When we got parked and set up, I put the tv/radio switch back to tv; put the main radio switch to aux and couldn't get surround switch. Put main radio switch to radio, turned ignition on and surround sound works fine. Turn ignition off and main radio switch to aux and cannot get surround sound. Surround sound works fine with main radio switch set to radio and ignition on but won't work any other way. Any ideas????

Got some more information. I checked circuit breakers in front and a breaker labeled "radio" is popped and will not reset. Everything works fine if I set the ignition to accessory and the main radio switch to main. Nothing works when i place the switch to aux. Although the breaker is labeled radio, I think it may be a transfer switch from coach to house batteries. Any ideas??

Check the wires where they connect to the TV/radio selector switch. Mine were quite loose and came off easily. There are many gorund points in the area.

JBroadway, if you still have the Magnadyne radio that was my problem and probably your problem, also my '04 did not have a real surround sound, it was synthic (phoney). Replace the radio with almost any newer car radio. Then go to Costco or other big box store and buy an inexpensive surround sound system and you will get a nice sounding system for about $250 total + or -.

Your new radio will not work with the existing cheap synthic system because you cannot adjust the volume. Be patient and the toughest part will be running new speaker wire under and around. I tucked the new wolfer behind the couch.

The original Magnadyne sytem is junk, research the topic on this great forum. Good luck.
