surround sound speakers

Just installed a 26" Samsung flat screen tv. Couldnt find a 25" tv, that would fit in the steel cage in our 40ft QD Horizon. But anyway, for the life of me, I cannot lower the sound down on the 5 speaker system. When using the sound arrow on the samsung remote, to a tolerable level. Samsung rep, tells me there is a booster of some kind buried some place in the coach, that can be gotten to, to lower the sound down on the surround sound speakers. Anyone know of a means to get the sound down in the speakers? When using the remote, I can lower the sound down to the point of not hearing anything, till I switch the Radio / TV switch to TV, it blasts you right out of the coach. Have not used the DVD player, or anything else that has been mentioned. Any ideas?

How did you hook up the TV to the surround sound amp? On my Sony, there are wires coming from inside the TV that hook up to RCA type cables (that go to the amp). If you hooked up that connection directly to the TV-out on the back of the TV, you will get a constant level sound that you cannot adjust via the volume control. Some TVs allow you to switch that to variable output via an on-screen menu-usually under audio preferences. Other TV's have a headphone jack that is variable, but will usually cut the sound to the TV's speakers.
