Sway bars

Have been trying to resolve some handling issues with my 2008 Sightseer model 29R. At highway speeds, motor home seems susceptible cross winds and trucks passing and steering has a floating sensation. At end of a day I'm tired from moving the steering wheel. Had rig weighed and aligned (toe out was off slightly). Tire pressure is at spec. Was looking at steering stabilizers from various manufacturers. Just spoke with a guy, who seemed reasonably knowledgeable. He said that new sway bars were the solution to my problem and not a steering stabilizer. These would prevent body roll and make for easier handling. Steering stabilizer only provided safety in event of blow out etc.

Would appreciate comments on whether or not sway bars are the answer.

We had a 99 31' Minnie Winnie that had a bad handling problem with rolling side to side. We added heavy duty roll bars with urethane bushing to the front and real and Bilstein shocks to the front and rear. Drove 200% better. Went from fighting to keep a straight line to one hand driving.

A steering stabilizer will just mask the problem and not cure it.
