TABLE IN 2009 winnebago View

I am a new owner of a 2009 View 24 J. I purchased it from a large dealer In Florida two weeks ago. When we first looked at the unit it didn't have a table. The salesman assured me that their would be a table. The next day when we looked at the MH again there was a table present. A nice looking table with wood trim around the outside edge. At that point we assumed that it was the original table since the wood and laminate matched the rest of camper. Three days later after purchasing the MH we went camping and used the dinette as a bed. The problem was, the table was too wide to fit between the seats. I informed the dealer about the problem and they eventually agreed to order a new table form Winnebago. Since we live in PA they shipped the table directly to us. We received the table today and on opening the package found that the table has a totally different color laminate and the quality is inferior to the rest of the coach. I would greatly appreciate it if any of owners of a 2008 or 2009 View 24J Motor homes would post a picture of your table. Our counter tops are beige.
Thanks for all your help. Jim

We have a similar issue with the table in our dinette. The table that was original to the motorhome was damaged and it was replaced by the dealer. The table top is really nice and matches well, but one day when I decided to lower it into sleeping position I found out it was too wide.

We've never had an occassion to use it as a bed since our couch folds out to a comfortable 2 person bed, but my plan was/is to just cut a piece of 3/4 plywood out that is the right size and store it in the basement.

In your case, since you now have a tabletop that fits the opening, just keep the extra one in the basement for use when/if you need it.

From a size perspective, our dinette isn't large enough for an adult to sleep on anyway. Ours is more of a kid sized bed.

Thanks for the replies. After we put the new table in the camper we decided it didn't look too bad. I think we'll live with it.
Thanks, Jim
