Taking a jog with the slide

So recently we had an issue where the slide went out and came back in cock-eyed. It was off two inches on one side so that it did not open or close completely.
I saw there is a manual mode for the slide. The dealer informed me that they pulled the motor and pushed the slide in to get them back in sync. Along with this the diagnosis was a "slow motor".

Has anyone used the manual mode to realign the slide so both sides are fully out? Are there any cautions other than pushing it too hard before using the resynch procedure?

There are several types of slides. Need more detail on your RV and the slide manufacturer.

It is a Sunstar LX 27N with three Lippert slides. The one in question carries the dinette. While Winnebago provides some information they left out the location of the motors. I know where the controllers are.
There is a reference to this being the Winnebago version of the In-Wall system.

I figured there were enough slide outs in RVs that someone had some experience with independent control of the motors and the drawbacks associated.

The notion here is to see if anyone has experience adjusting a slide's position using the motors on an individual basis.

First- I an not familiar with the Winnebago/Lippert system. The Lippert in Wall system MAY be the same as the Schwintek system. This video may help you to re-time the slideout.

To keep the slideout synchronized they recommend holding the extend or retract switch for about 5 seconds after the slide is fully extended or retracted, and to not stop the slide part way out. The motors are not connected together and the controller counts the revolutions. Hope this is your system and helps..

Lippert has several videos on the slideout operation.

I just saw this thread here about Winnebago slide problems. It quite long and some of the solutions may not be as simple as my previous post. Keep us posted on progress....
