TCM Location on 2004 Journey

I have 2004 Journey on a Workhorse chassis and need to find the TCM as I have no power to the transmission pad. Any help to locate the TCM so i can check fuses would be appreciated.

Forgive me for asking , but what engine , transmission set up is your coach equipped with ?
I thought all Workhorse, chassis used a column mounted shifter and a 1000 series Allison. Or is your coach on a" UFO " , rear engine gas chassis?

According to the 2004 Journey Brochure the Workhorse chassis features a Cummins ISC 8.3L 330-hp, rear radiator, and Allison 6-speed electronic 3000 MH transmission.

The paragraph on page two says Freightliner chassis.

Yes, but the Workhorse diesel chassis was an option (briefly), according to the brochure, and that's what the OP said he has.

Wow, that surprises me. I didn't know that was ever offered, and would not have guessed that the Workhorse was capable of a diesel pusher arrangement. Learn something new every day

First I've ever heard of a diesel Workhorse chassis .
Wonder how many were produced?

Anyhow there would be no fuses at the TCM , you would have to find the chassis fuse boxes and check for both a battery power fuse and an ignition power fuse. If the fuses are good then check the trans to chassis wiring harness connector and the shift pad to dash wiring harness connector.
If the number of these chassis is as low as I think they might be , there will be few individuals with the info for fuse locations . I think a call to Winnebago is in order.

A Cummins 330 HP. With Allison Transmission. A Diesel pusher.

Hi Conchman,

Sorry, can't help with your problem and agree that a call to Winnebago may be your best bet. I'm curious... what type of suspension and brake package does the Workhorse usher have?

The 2004 Journey came with either Cummins, or a 350 CAT. There were also two different models of Allison, specific to the supplied engine.

There were no Workhorse chassis options of any kind. Journey and Meridian are all on Freightliner chassis

The brochure says there WAS a Workhorse option, and the OP says they have one.

Well you're right.. I know LOTS of folks with 32, 34, 36' Journey and Meridians, but the 39's aren't around, but much less that chassis, apparently. While Googl'ing around a found a string than mentioned it and there was mention about ride and creaking (whatever that meant). Can't find it again. Sounds more rare than a Meridian SE
