I have a 2002 Adventurer 35U and would like to upgrade to a flat screen tv in the living room. Is this possible? Has anyone done this? According to Winnebago specifications on their website they upgraded to a flat screen in 2004. What model is the Sony TV in the 2004? Did they modify the cabinet in 2004 or is it the same as my 2002? Any comments or assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks, Jim

Jim,

Are you talking about flat screen CRT or flat screen as in LCD panel?

I saw a picture of what one guy did a while ago. He canned the CRT and got a rather large flat panel High Def TV (around 42") and made a mount for it that would fold up into the ceiling at the front of the coach.

If you are going to a 16:9 display size, then I think you are in for some serious cabinet modifications and probably need a woodworking shop nearby. Actually, for me that would be the upgrade path. Better picture, less weight.

I have a Horizon so my TV type is not relevent - sorry .

John

I just finished replacing our old TV which was set inside a corner cabinet above the steering wheel. I installed a 26" LCD flat screen across the face of the existing cabinet. I first reinforced the floor of the cabinet, installed a 2"X12" vertically to mount the new TV mounting bracket to. Since the LCD is only 4.5" deep it fits perfectly and the picture and sound are awesome!!
