Once again this great forum has come to the rescue! We're currently in Great Falls, MT, and came back to the RV with 98 degrees inside, 89 degrees outside. Turned on the AC, set it for 80, and only one compressor came on, drawing 17 amps. I knew that wasn't enough, so went online to the forum, and Fossilhog's posting on August 28, 2007, had the answer! The thermostat switch was not quite pushed all the way over to the left. Once it was, the amp draw kicked in to 26 and the air is coming out much cooler. Whew! Thank goodness no visit to the local RV repair shop! The more we travel, the more we learn about the little ins and outs of our RV, which we love! Thank you, Fossilhog!
