DIY -Go on to the Winnebago Ind web site and download the brochures for both years from the "Resources" tab. Compare photos and the detailed specs from both years and you will answer your own question.
Also d/l the Itasca Meridian brochures - the twin sister to the Journey. You will get a complete picture this way.
You can also search this forum for issues for those years. You want to find out if the Schwintek slides were introduced in 2012.

We have a 2012 meridian same as a journey. I believe early production 2011's have vinyl tile flooring instead of porcelain, some have 2010 chassis so they are 360 horse with no def compared to 380 and a def tank. Also I think 2011 don't have the coverings for the slide vinyl on all the slides. 2011 and 2012 have power gear slides. They went to partial schintech slides in 2013.

Thanks for the response guys, I was looking more towards the electronics and the brochure really doesn't tell you that much about what it has.

Jim Congratulations on your new coach - the Journey is a great solid coach. Fortunately, yours has "traditional" slides so issues should be minimal compared with later coaches. Good luck,
