Things to look for???

Hi folks,
I am supposed to pick up a 2001 Brave 33v on a ford chassis this friday. As this is the first MH or RV of any kind that I have ever purchased I decided to come to the well of knowledge and great advice.

What things should I be looking for? All appliances seem to be working, gen set works, good tires and an overall good appearance. It blows cold air out of both rooftops and from dash.

The test drive was good, no unusual shakes or vibrations that I could detect, and the v10 and transmission seemed to perform flawlessly.

This is one of many that I have looked at and seems to be a very good unit at a very good price. If there is any thing in particular on just any thing in general that I should be looking at , please feel free to let me know.

Thanks, Danny

Tell them to have the refrigerator on and cold. check both freezer and bottom box. Also check the operation of the furnace.

Go all around inside ceiling, even inside cabinets, looking for water stains. Go up top, on outside, and verify condition of the roof material and integrity. If it is rubber--be cautious!! It would be 10+ years old and if not stored inside or well maintained it could be near the end of its life.
Check dates on the tires. Month and year. over about six years plan on replacing.
Check date and condition of the batteries.
Crawl underneath if you can and check for stains, leaks, and possible damage or repairs.
Go around the outside and look for delaminating. Push on side walls to see if any has come apart from the floor.
Verify that the dump valves WORK and do NOT leak!!
Look over any and all caulking for condition.

Agree 1000% on what Nitehawk wrote. Stains, delam could be small bubbles, check around windows and doors for any raised areas. A couple of months ago I was looking at a couple of that year Braves (30 ft) and both had delam issues.

Thanks for the replies folks, I checked for delam on the outside and water stains on the inside, both looked good. As to the roof, I am not quite sure what signs to look for. The epoxy on the edges is showing a little bit of feathering or tuning up on the edge. I don't know if its a rubber roof or not, it does not look like it. It is very smooth but I could be wrong. The one thing I haven't done is to crawl under the MH which is something I plan on doing before before I hand over the check . I understand the mechanics of the chassis and what to look for but what about the coach, what obvious things should I look for when I am under there? Thanks
