Toad hookup

Hi All
When I bought my 01 Journey 36DL I inherited a Roadmaster stowmaster 5000 hitch, a Brakemaster 9000, a Brake Away 8600 and a 2010 Tekonsha brake away switch. I intend using a 2000 Olds Alero for my toad and will have to buy the 194-3 brackets from Roadmaster. My question is...I have air assisted brakes, should I be looking for the installer to provide an air line connection to the toad for plug in connection or should I consider not using the brake away and have the installer connect to my master brake cylinder directly so that the coach and toad brake at the same time with no delay?. Which is best?.
Thanks

a Brakemaster 9000, a Brake Away 8600
The Brakemaster system ties into the air brakes on the coach via a very small air line. This allows it to provide proportional brakeing ...it applies the toad brakes at a proportional strength to what you are applying the coach brakes. That is how you need to have it connected.

I am not familiar with the breakaway system you mentioned. My Brakemaster is the 9160 model that includes a brakeaway system and monitor light on the dash.

The 8600 Break Away kit is the same thing that is included with the 9160. I would definitely recommend installing the breakaway kit as that is one of the most important reasons for having a supplemental braking system.
