Toilet Odor
We have had our MH now for about 2 months now.
Lately, whenever we flush the toilet, we get a bad odor. It just started recently. We use Camco products to degrade the waste & toilet paper. I keep a separate hose just to do the black water backflush. Not sure what else we're supposed to do.
Any suggestions?

After dumping and back flush of black tanks, pour your chemical in the toilet with a few gallons of water and your ready to go for next time, and it should not smell....if your still getting a smell check your roof vent for toilet, that it's not clogged

Check your roof vents. Also make sure you are not exhausting air somewhere else via fan, dryer, exhaust vent. This tends to only be an issue when tanks are getting full or not enough water.

Look under your sink vanity. You might find a studer valve. Looks like a backflow preventer. It replaces the old thru the roof pipe. Doesn't work 1/2 the time. It's a vent that lets air into the pipe. Probably stuck open.

As others have mentioned, checking the vents and sometimes the fans can draw black tank orders. One thing that we found that works really well is a product called "Happy Campers". We use as directed and haven't had any smelly black tank orders.

13 years of full timing, stopped using chemicals 10 years ago. If you use an adequate amount of water and your vent is clear you shouldn't have any odor. If you do, it may be because the waste hasn't slid down from directly under the toilet. You can easily check with a flashlight - you should see only the bottom of your tank if clear. Use a lot of water during a flush and you shouldn't have a problem.

One thing not mentioned here is your toilet has an overflow drain hole up top just under the rim, that drain hole has it's own trap, and if that trap is dry you will get vapors. Fill the toilet all the way up or use your sprayer to fill those traps.

It doesn't look like the toilet has a drain hole near the top. The only thing near the top is a plastic piece that lets water in, when you flush.

Sometimes the rubber doughnut seal under the toilet is not seated tight enough. Tighten the hold down bolts. On old units the seal may have aged out and leaking gas, replace the seal.
