The water in my toilet would not go down. I checked the black water level and it was 1/3. I know the lights can be inaccurate so I drained the tank, flushed it, closed the drain and added chemical. The water wnet down right away.
All was well for one day. This morning the water would not go down again! I thought that the opening went directly into the tank, so I don't understand what is wrong? I drained again, etc the water went down again. Any ideas? Thanks

Had a friend who bought a 04 UF who had the same problem, his vent pipe was plugged. He pulled the cap off it and forced a garden hose down it, hasn't had a problem since.

I have a 2005 38J Adventurer and had a similar problem last year. I use a small snake to clear a blockage about a foot below the toilet opening. I attributed the blockage to not using enough water during flushing.

I agree with LR. I had the same trouble with my 2001 Adventurer. Too much toilet paper & not enough water used for flushing.

When you drain the tank, does it seem to be a full tank or just a few gallons?

Every time I dump I use the back flusher to do two things ..<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>flush<LI>cover the bottom of the tank[/list]I have a clear elbow on the dump valve ... so I open and close the black valve until the effluent runs clear ... after I am finished flushing ... I let the water run for 30 seconds if I will be travelling after dumping and for 1 minute if I will be parked after dumping ...
This is and adaptation of a suggestion by an old timer soon after I bought my first motorhome (that rig did not have a back flusher ... his hint was to fill the toilet bowl and flush two or four times after dumping)

Your coach has external tank sensors. Your tank readings should be accurate.

Thank youi all. I flushed the vent with a hose but then I took a flashlight and noticed TP stuck as LR experienced. I took a broom handle and pushed it while flushing. I think the problem is solved now.
