The touchpad keyless entry system has never worked since purchasing my Itasca Horizon in November 2004. After the dealer replaced the touchpad several times and I wrote two letters to Winnebago I was routed to the manufacturer, SCS Frigette. They suggested replacing both the control module and the keypad. Winnebago sent me the parts and I installed them last week. After re-programming, everything works perfectly. SUCCESS AT LAST!!!!!

Hey Rex - good for you! I have really come to like using the keypad unlike when I had it on a couple of cars.

Is the keychain remote working?

Yes, the keychain remote is working perfectly as well. You can use either the keypad or the keychain remote whenever you like.

We finally got around to programming our keypad this past weekend (we've had our Horizon 5 months now). Afterwards I wondered why we waited so long! Love it! However, our remote is very unreliable. It will work one time and not another.

Even tho the keypad is working, we still carry our old fashioned technology with us to open the door upon returning...they're called KEYS! (Just in case).
