Tour tastes, have a Forza budget

If that. After viewing all the Winnebago models, I love the luxury of the Tour, but actually a 36-foot Journey would do perfectly as a full-time rig.
However, my budget is more Forza or Via.
With about $150G, I suppose I am more realistically looking for a used rig with "good bones." One with solid construction, good insulation, proven mechanical and electrical components.
Is that a used Journey?
Am I correct that once you start getting into Forza or Via, the components are less quality, built more for the occasional weekend camp trip and not full time?

We had a 2011 Journey 40L for almost 7 years and put on about 75,000 miles. It was a Great RV with few problems and lots of smiles!

Yes, the Forza's are nice but the quality is much less than the higher end coaches We just upgraded from a 2015 Forza 34T to a HR Scepter.

$150,000 is enough to buy a new Adventurer 37F or 38Q. At least a 2017. We just bought a 37F and it was far less than $150,000.

The Adventurers - all of them are diesel luxury in a Ford F53 chassis.

You probably want nothing less than a diesel from the way you've worded your post. But check out the Adventurer line and compare with a Tour or Journey and you'll see you can afford a NEW RV that meets your living requirements.

I totally disagree with Creativepart....well mostly. We had an Adventurer and a Suncruiser for a total of 100,000 miles. They were both great and maybe a little nicer inside than a Forza. BUT the beauty of a diesel is in the ride and handling. I couldn't believe how much easier our Journey was to drive. Now with the Entegra it's a whole new world with IFS, a tag axle and an extra 10,000 lb. You have to drive enough to make a diesel worth while!

I never meant to equate the F53 chassis based RVs to be on par with the diesel coaches from a ride/driveability stand point. Just from an interior and feature standpoint. A gas coach is always going have F53 driveabilty - simple as that.

Pick pennies off the sidewalk, go without haircuts, put cardboard in your shoes. While I'm totally pleased with the Freightliner chassis, Cummins diesel and Allison transmission the Forza portion lacks quality.

For interior amenities the Adventurer wins hands down. Having had two gassers I wouldn't go back, but for more than weekend use.....upgrade to a better diesel coach.
