I have been towing a ranger pickup (3300 lb )behind my 36 journey with cat 330. Most of the time you don't even know it is there. I am switching over to a grand cherokee (4600 lb )Anyone have any problems towing one? I am guessing it will just pull a little harder on hills. Hope it doesn"t have any odd swaying habits.

I pulled a '98 GC behind my previous gasser. Tows very nice with absolutely no swaying problems. The only time I was aware of it was on long, steep climbs. I doubt your cat will even notice the difference.

Probably have 20,000 miles towing a 96 GC Laredo. About 6,000 to and from Nevada and into Mexico with some pretty good mountains. Have pulled it with a 2001 35U and now the 2008 35J, both with the V10 gasser.
The coach doesn't know if it is there or not. No impact on gas mileage that I can tell.
Use the SMI Stay in Play for braking...very happy with it.

We tow a 4500 pound Jeep Liberty, and it does fine. You might have about the same engine torque per coach pound that we do. The Jeep has been a really good toad.

Likewise...
We have towed with both a 37' Southwind and our current 36' Journey DP (Cat 330HP). We use the Brake Buddy Pendulum driven add-on brake on the toad, and see no change with it or without it, and feel likewise no change while towing with the Journey. Don't forget to place the transfer case in neutral, the transmission in park, leave the ignition key in unlock, but not "on", and the parking brake off.

We have put about 10k Miles towing our GC with our 330 Cat. You will not notice the extra weight. Tows like a dream. I would recommend the M&G braking system easy install, seamless operation, just plug in the air line and connect the breakaway cable. Good Luck.

I tow a 2006 Grand Cherokee Limited behind my 2002 Journey DL 39QD and it sets up and tows easily.
Since we live her in the west, mountains are the norm. I pulled it over the Million Dollar Highway (Durango to Ouray)without any difficulties at all.
I like my Jeep

We towed an '04 Grand Cherokee Laredo for two years - no problem at all. Hardly knew it was there.

I tow a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X2 automatic behind our 1999 Chieftain DP. It tows great using a Remco drive shaft disconnect.
