for all the older models on the f53 chasis has anyone changed the fluid at 30000 as recommended and what it cost..thanks..jim

Call your local Ford truck shop and they will quote you an exact price..Do follow the maintainence instructions and in case you missed it Ford recommends changing brake fluid every two years. They can quote you on this also. Maybe check a couple of truck dealers also...Good Miles

Ford Dealer quoted me $140 for transmission change and $140 for brake fluid change.

John, call some large truck dealers and see if #1 they can do it .#2 if they are any cheaper. When i/you are not mechanically inclined and have to have someone do it for us we have to pay their price. Some folks have found Mechanics who will do it on the side ,,but I never was so Lucky. Good Miles

Be sure you change that brake fluid, you will not believe what it looks like in 2-3 years from absorbing moisture. I had them flush my system before reinstalling new fluid. Job was done by a local truck service company at $110.00.
