I was wondering if anybody has changed their keyboard on their Trip-Tek. Mine is on the fritz and a new one ($82.50, thank you very much) is on the way. I've had the side panel off and it's a pain to work on since it's a pretty tight squeeze for my svelte bod. I was more curious about the wire bundle run. They told me it runs to the back of the backup camera screen. I was thinking of tying a string to the plug end of the cable and pulling the string thru, then tying the string to the new wires and pulling them back thru to the rear of the screen. The plug is on the screen end. The keyboard is hardwired.

Second question is the change out of the Magellan GPS antenna. If anybody has done that is it an easy chore using a string like the above zcenario with the Trip-tek wires and string?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'll answer my own questions. Worked like a charm in both instances.

I did screw up and use too short a string on the GPS, but finally got the antenna wire pulled thru. Had I used I used a longer string it would have taken about 30 minutes for the whole job instead of all afternoon.

When I put the new one down I sealed it with eternabond instead of sealant. I'm practicing with the Eternabond in places where it can't be seen from the ground before I tackle the side seams.
