We keep our '02 Journey plugged in to the house. Fine until today. Today, it started tripping the house (garage) GFI. (15 amp circuit) I unplugged the coach, and the GFI doesn't trip, indicating it's the coach. The only thing on in the coach is the refrigerator. A/C, lights, all off. Fridge is currently running fine on propane/12v, but can't leave it like that long.

Suggestions? Solutions? Clues?

If you go HERE a pdf file with a lot of info on the problem will download.

Or go to personal.cha.bellsouth.net - /j/o/johngd/files/rv/ and download the file gfi.pdf.

OK, plugged into a non-gfi outlet, and seems to be working ok. I'm not an electrical engineer, but I gathered that's what the article said to do...

As I recall the author of the article said a common cause of the problem is dirty AC motors. If you have it running okay now it might not be worth trying to take the shrouds off and clean them up.
On the other hand I am seeing more RV parks with GFI outlets.

Replace the GFI.....I had to replace one of mine as the contacts had gotten where they would pop off at any slight surge or drop in line.....weak contacts over time...
