In a 2005 Vectra or Itasca Horizon, does anyone know where the actual sensors are located on the gray tank? I've picked up a lot of information from the past posts on the sensors incorrectly reporting gray tank levels and really appreciate everyone's participation. Right after we dump, out gray tank reports 2/3 full. After one shower it shows full.
Thanks

Don't know where the sensors are actually located, but they are on the outside of the tank in the 2005 year model. I have pretty much given up worrying about the accuracy of the black/gray.

Sometimes ours will eventually 'heal' themselves. One thing you can do is to fill the gray up before you dump. If you aren't on the coach, fill the tank up with a soapy water mix and let it sit for a couple of weeks.

Our gray tank sensor has been working for the last two or three months, the black level hasn't worked correctly since we hit the road in early May.

This winter one of my coach projects is to change over to an after-market monitoring system.

Keith, those OEM sensors are notorious for not working accurately from the day they were installed. I understand that there may be a way to "calibrate" the readings behind the panel in your motorhome. I can't, however, tell you how to do it.

There are aftermarket sensors that have been reported to perform better. I have seen some very favorable reviews of the SeeLevel sensors, but they are pricey. They are strips that mount on the outside of the tanks and use your existing wiring.
