Trying to figure out 3 AC ducting

I have a new 42E Journey. I am currently in Orlando FL and trying to figure out the AC system. In my Tiffin I had 2 AC units that fed a central duct system. When in moderate temps or at night I would run one AC unit and close the ducts at that end so more of the air would flow into the other section. At night run the front AC and cool the bedroom.

I am trying that in the Journey but the cold air from one end will not make it to the other end. There is plenty of air flowing, but it is not the cold air from the AC unit. There must be some supplemental air supply being dumped into the duct work.

Is there a way to maybe shut off the supplement fan so front AC cold air will flow to rear? Would also think the system would be quieter with the extra fan off. I have seen a few complaints about noise and compared the AC of my Journey to a Phaeton, Charleston and Tuscany and did not find much difference in overall noise.

Thanks

Noise? You want to talk about noise? I sleep (or attempt to) over my basement air. But enough about that.
I assume you checked the air temp at various ducts while in your configuration. It would be interesting to contact Mother W and find out what their design specs called for. Then compare your measurements. At that point you can make it a warranty issue. Good luck.

XBoater,
I do not remember the name of the thread but someone took off the plastic covers, removed the four bolts that hold the a/c and picked them up. To his dismay he found there was no "bocker" between the input fan and the output fan. I think he just used some solid foam to separate the two. The return duct is all the way down the passenger side of the coach. The cool side is the whole length all the way down the diver side. If you only have the rear a/c on; you should feel the air coming out the front vent. Or, if you only have the front a/c on; you should feel the air coming out the rear vent near the shower.
From your description it sounds like the cool air is blowing out but may be being picked up by the return fan and never running down the duct. I would pop off the covers (just pull on them) along the duct work and stick your hand in the vent to see how much air is coming out (or going in). There is no reason the front should not make it to the rear. Or, if you are saying it is picking up supplemental air; then my guess would be it is pulling it from the return side because it is missing the blocker between the cool air and the return air. I try to find the thread....

XBoater,
I found it:
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f101/2013...161008-10.html

See item #131 and 132. Take these photos to the dealer and ask him to look at them. They may have a infrared gun to test temp of the air coming out of the ducts. Let us know what you find out.
