We have a 2002 Ultimate Freedom with the Winegard AV control center.

The TV has no signal when the antenna is selected as the signal source. It works great with DVDs. I brought an HD TV from home to see if the TV was the problem and it doesn't appear to be.

Does anyone know of a wiring diagram available online or anywhere of how all of the components are attached?

Thanks for your help.

A couple thoughts:

1. If you have the original tube tv in place, you will definitely need to get a D->A(digital to analog) converter box before it will ever work now that all signals have gone digital.

2. When you tried your HD tv, did you have it do a rescan to find the available signals? If not, that could cause it not to show any channels.

I just battled my antenna last week-end. The antenna booster needs to be turned on to get a signal to the TV.... I knew that...at one time.

Good Luck,
Dave

The antenna boost was on.

I couldn't determine how to get the digital TV to scan for channels.

I will give it another shot.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I get the feeling that your "Source selector" is a box with many buttons

There should be a LED lit up on that box. if not check the button on the far left and see if it's labeled POWER

now... From that box there is a cable that should go DIRECTLY to the roof, no other devices in the line save that cable.. Inside the roof (just under than antenna) is a barrel connector so you can replace (if needed) just the cable to the antenna from the roof.. And then the cable goes on to the antenna..

Open roof vent near antenna or grab cell phone or FRS radio and with your partner inside go topside (on the roof)

With the POWER button on the switch box OFF (light off) disconnect cable from antenna.. Carefully hook up voltmeter. Red lead to center wire, black to teh shell (Nut) 15 volt range

have partner turn on Power.. You should see battery voltage.. If not. cable fault. Re-connect and go back inside and check for voltage at the output of the box (the TV-ANT-IN jack) you may find a short lenght of coax useful there.

If you do have battery power re-connect and see if that fixed it (it might) if it does not replace antenna.

NOTE: The winegard "Batwing" (Sensar) is a bi-directional antenna, att the winman and it's a directional antenna.

It must be pointed in the right direction.. Also in some campgrounds you are not going to see anything period.. I know, I park there in the summer.
