TV in cargo bay

Just installed tv in cargo bay. Can't get signal from satalite dish. Dish Network is setup and working. Tv's in living area and bedroom working. Have cable attached from sat hookup in cargo bay and also the red black yellow cable hooked up. No signal at all from sat. Tv is working on network channels.

Thanks

Tazz6, online drawings do not show the cables for the ext. TV. Hopefully someone with the same model will chime in. Are you getting Sat picture on the bedroom TV? If so how is it connected. You mentioned composite video cables (yellow, red, white) in the basement, the other end should be in the A/V compartment near the sat receiver location.

The bedroom tv has a separate cable from the living room tv. The bedroom tv has sat picture.
In the cargo bay it has a sat port and red/white/yellow ports. Also has cable port

Tazz6, Just a guess but the composite video cables may be coming from DVD player. Being there is a Sat port there they may expect you to put a sat receiver out there. I have requested some more drawings from my contact at the factory.

Tazz6, received info from factory today "to have satellite at the exterior TV would require a receiver added in that location" using the connection at the wall plate labeled Satellite Receiver Connection.
Also I assume you connected the coax cable that is with the 3-way RCA cable to the antenna input on the new TV. That coax is part of the OTA/Park Cable system.
I sent another email asking the source of the 3-way RCA cable.

That is really weird. I called Winnebago yesterday and they said the total opposite, said I didn't need one. After thinking about it yesterday I figured it was going to need a receiver in the bay. This weekend I will take it out of the garage and try it with a receiver in the bay.
Thanks for the info. Still trying to figure out why portable satalite connection not working.

Tazz6, "The 3-way RCA cable is located next to the sound bar, allowing for a component located inside the coach" which means it is probably laying either behind the sound bar or on the shelf were the Sat receiver and DVD player are.
Drawings do not show cable from the front Sat receiver to the bedroom TV, did you said your coach has a HDMI cable?
On the portable satellite connection check the cable at the wall plates. Cable TV should have a red band and the portable satellite coax should have a gold band.

Tazz6. I had the same problem. Turns out the HDMI/composite cable was not hooked up to the back of the AV selector. It was hooked to the TV outside and ran into the cargo bay where I could not see where it went ... I finally found it under the bed frame rolled up. They never ran it to the AV switch in the entertainment center when they built the coach. I ended up having to run it to the entrainment center my self. Was a little work, but doable. I also found a second connection under the bed for a separate satellite receiver to be installed in the cabinet over my bed. I hope this helps... And no you do not need a separate recover for outside ... Find that cable, hook it up and it mirrors the living room tv. I hope I helped you.

Iwillbeit,

I just looked under bed and I have no coax cables under the bed. We have no av switch.
I can't find any splitters as shown in wiring diagrams. Anybody know where any of the splitters are. About at wits end. None of the wiring diagrams are like our coach.

Tazz6, the only splitter you have is the 3 way for the OTA/CABLE and it is located in the front overhead behind the panel on the passenger side. With Dish Network you do not have the power inserter and SWM splitter.
What kind of satellite dish to you have?

Tazz6, sorry for the delay in getting back, we are traveling. How is the dish mounted and how are you getting the signal into the your coach?

Tazz6,

If the TVs in the living room and the bedrooms are working fine off the satellite and I'm assuming the bedroom TV is a mirror of the living room TV, then it's just a matter of getting that audio video output to the outside TV.. Somewhere in there the connection is not connected. There is a video splitter somewhere if it's feeding both TV,s and on a new coach it's probably a HDMI splitter. Just saying.

The living room and the bedroom TV's have separate satalite receivers.

I Believe you have to mirror the outside TV off one of the inside TV,s . To my knowledge most dishes have a duel LnB and can only support two satellite receivers. There are some newer ones that can handle 3 or more, I just never have used one. I would just install an AV switch on the HDMI cable going from the receiver to the TV in the living room and Mirror that signal...you just have to go inside to change channels. Easier and cheaper than bothering with another receiver, plus it's nice going inside to get something while the games is on because it's always on the same channel. Just my opinion. Good luck buddy!

The dish is located on roof of the coach. Have tried it hooked up straight to dish on house also.
