There have been numerous posts dealing with the replacement of an overhead TV. In our coach we have an entertainment center, c/w fireplace and a 24" Sony CTR TV. We would like to replace the older TV with a 32" LCD unit. Has anyone swapped the TV in an entertainment center?

First, if your current TV sits in a cabinet, my suggestion, based on what we were going to do in our 5th wheel. The cabinet were the TV is currently installed would probably make a nice storage cabinet. Place a door (1/2 - 3/4 thick) on the outside of the current opening that is hinged at the top or side. Full length type hinge and if swinging up, a couple of gas struts to hold the door/TV up when you needed access too your new cabinet. Install a latch that secures the door during travel.

Ron, we have a similar entertainment center, I think, and what we did was remove the entertainment center all together and mounted a 42" LCD on the wall.

If ya need more info PM me and we can swap thoughts.

Check out this thread:
Changed Out The Television - 2008 Destination

Different RV and TV size, but it is a center console.

Installed a 32" TV in the entertainment cabinet in our 38T and was able to utilize the space behind the TV as storage. Check it out: Winnebago 38T Flat Panel Install - a set on Flickr
