In a previous thread I asked how to get access to the area above the drivers compartment headliner since I had a thumping noise when on rough roads. Thanks to the replies I received, I removed the wood bar above the driver/passenger area and was able to pull the headliner down between that bar and the forward cabinets. As I suspected there were several wires and the RG-6 TV cable laying on top of the headliner. This was making the thumping noise.

To fix the problem, I used 5/8 inch foam pipe wrap to cover the wiring and insulate the noise.

While there I found a union in the RG-6 cable. Since I have experienced poor reception on several of my satellite TV channels, I replaced the connectors on each cable end and replaced the union with a Radio Shack gold connector. This improved my TV reception greatly. I now receive several channels that I previously could not receive.

Two fixes in one repair - Amazing!!
