Update=anyone pull AC for general cleaning

I checked in at Lodgemobile and Mark checked my AC out and indeed it was pulling way too low amps. He suspected a leak so pulled the unit. Here is what the back of mine looked like. It was perfectly clean after all these years. Just using the cheap filters.
He disconnected a few bolts at the bottom, undid the elect. and the attatchment to the plenum. He popped the top of the AC loose with a scredriver and it dropped about 2 inches. He then used a forklift to remove the AC. This was yesterday, Today he calls and says I have a leak by the evap. that he can repair. He also replaced some (starter??) or something in the elect. box. general clean up and lube 2 litlle oil cups by the blower. and I can pick it up Tues.
Mark commented that usually he can peel off a little bit of lint on the back of the evap. but mine was spotless after 8 yrs. So I guess its not what kind of filter you use but how good a seal you have around the filter.

Consider having your tech replace both motor bearings with lifetime lubed ones rather thanthe ones that are supposed to be lubed annually. They are pretty cheap and cna be changed out in about an hour while the unit is out of the coach.

I also recommend that you inspect the metal squirrel cage for stress cracks in the hub.

The "starter" something was probably the starting capacitors for the motors.
