Using Eternabond when Replacing Refrig Vent

I just acquired a "new to me" 2000 35 ft Adventurer. The Norcold refrigerator vent is cracked and broken and that is my first task as the MH will not be under a shelter for now.
I have read the great forums here and done a number of searches but have yet to come up with any specifics on replacing the vent. I have decided to try Eternabond but I do not know what width to order.
Any input on Eternabond width or other advice/guidance on refrigerator vent replacement would be much appreciated.

I have never had to replace my Refer Vent but I did install Eternabond on all my roof edges. I purchased the 4" width rolls and used a straight edge and a carpet knife and cut it to 2" width. It worked well. It has been 4 years and it looks like the day I installed it.

I just replaced that refrigerator vent. Its easy and relatively inexpensive. Probably need to replace the other cheap plastic stuff like the vent caps while you are up there. Also you air conditioner covers are probably shot and they are a little more expensive but easy to replace. With a 2000 rig that stuff has lived its useful life, if its been in the sun much.

I have used Etherabond but not on plastic covers.

I would agree with BZam. Eternabond is more than overkill on plastic parts that will need to be replaced periodically. It may be a good idea where you expect the installation to be premanent but 5 years from now you may need to replace the vent again. They have a tendency to not only deteriorate from sun and weather, but they also seem to attract low hanging tree limbs. Trying to get the Eternabond off may be quite a chore.
