So that part of the dash was easy to remove. From there I can see the vacuum lines on the dash HVAC controls and they all look good. They all disappear into the larger portion of the dash.

How to I remove this top portion of the dash - marked in the 1st photo "Here"?

Mike - unless you have looked at the info provided by Chris in post #3, you are doing a lot of extra work. Almost everyone who has had a vacuum leak on that era Journey/Meridian has found it at the hot water modulator. Takes about 30 seconds to check it. Open the front "hood", look for a green vacuum line connecting to a modulator valve, look for a split rubber tube at the connection. If you find that problem, there are pictures in the old threads that Chris referred to that shows how to repair it without any new parts.

If you have already checked that green line, then ignore all the above...

Thanks, that was the first thing I looked at and it looked in good shape. Plugged it up and no effect on the pump. I removed the little "L" pipe and stuck it onto the modulator vacuum connection directly and still no effect.

So it was not the green line, but the blue one. I found an inch long scrape/rub in the line with a slit long enough for my fingernail to fit in.

So while it all works now those two lines seem aged and I would still need to get under the dash to replace the two lines.

I will call Winnebago on Monday to get info on removing the top of the dash and the routing of the vac lines.

I had the same problem on my 2007 Itasca Meridian 36G. My issue was when the dash selector was in the OFF or MAX AC the vacuum pump would run continually.According to the vacuum and electrical diagrams (https://winnebagoind.com/resources/service/pdfs/2005-06%20Auto%20Heating%20&%20AC.pdf), page 3 but labeled C4 in the pdf, these selector setting are connected to vacuum port number one.Port number one splits to a Green and Blue vacuum hose. The Blue vacuum hose runs to Fresh Air Door. The Blue hose can be found by looking in the front access compartment where you access the generator. Look to the passenger side, just in front of the entry steps, and you should see the Blue line. Inspect the Blue line very carefully for dry-rot on the underside of the line. For me about 2 feet were very badly deteriorated so that I did was cut the blue line to where there was no longer any deterioration and then went to NAPA and got a rubber hose that would go OVER the existing blue line very snugly (sorry I do not have the part number for the black rubber hose I used) and then connected the other end to the Fresh Air Door and that fixed the problem. No more issue with the vacuum pump continuing to run when in the OFF or MAX AC position. One other thing I did was to crazy glue the Blue hose to the NAPA rubber hose, it old took a drop or two.Not sure why the Blue vacuum line is so susceptible to deteriorating maybe it is due to the pigment of the color as the other lines do NOT appear to have the premature deteriorating issue. Hope this helps!

Dang plastic hoses!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has had issues with those hoses. I think that era of hard emissions hose was made of some type of soy based plastic. They do not last long and get very brittle. I had several areas on my blue hose that were eroded all the way through. I went with solid rubber vacuum hose for the replacement.
