Howdy
I'm in the process of replacing my 2006 Sightseer(30B) with a 2012 Sightseer(36V). The 2012 Sightseer has 235/80R22.5 Michelin XRV tires, I want to replace the current valve stems with the Dually kits from Borg Tire Supply. The duals have a steel inner wheel and an aluminum outter wheel. The tire diameter is 37.1", width is 9.2", rims are 7.70" and the minimum dual spacing is 10.3". The wheels are all 8 hole. Has anyone had these kits installed on a similar set-up? I'm having trouble determining the correct kit to order from Borg, any assistance would be appreciated. Enjoy this forum, I've learned a lot from it. Thanks
Frank

I would call Borg. The guy that is the Dually Valve expert there is very helpful.

I have a standard setup with steel wheels and had Dually Valves installed last year when I also replaced my tires. They sure do make it easy to check and add air.

Here's a 2nd recommendation to call Borg and ask to speak to Bill.

After speaking with Bill, I ordered a set of valves for my 07 Workhorse W-24 chassis this past winter. He asked me a few questions, mainly to determine the correct size rubber grommet to secure the inner valve as it protrudes through the outer wheel. My plan was to have them installed while at Redlands Truck & RV when I would be in that area on a trip in the near future.

Installation was going well until the tech determined the rubber grommets included in my kit just were not going to fit; they were just too big for the wheel opening. This was about 3:30PM in the afternoon.

I got on the phone with Bill and explained the issue. He committed to personally make a 2nd set of grommets to fit the wheel opening. Borg is located in Tujunga, CA, which is about about 70 miles from Redlands. I offered to drive to Tujunga and pick up the new grommets as I planned to leave early the next morning.

Bill said it didn't make sense for me to drive 140 miles and instead had them delivered to Redlands via UPS by 8AM the next morning!

Now that is customer service ... And checking air pressure and adding air is now just a breeze!!!

Here's several photos of the new valves on my coach. The blue arrow is pointing to the rubber grommet for the inner dually. The sensor on the inner dually is from my TireTraker TPMS system.

As I said before, the new valves makes checking pressure & adding air a pleasure!
