I have a Vectra 2008 headlight that is burn out. I assume you replace it from the rear. I got a cover unscrewed, but could not get it removed to get to the socket that holds the bulb. I had the generator slid out.

Does it indeed come out from the rear, or does the lens come off and you replace it from the front.

I want to make sure I am attacking this problem from the correct side.

I have a 2007 Vectra 40 TD. There are 2 pieces of metal that slide up on the rear of the headlight housing. Once they are removed the complete assembly comes out forward.

Jim, I would like to thank you for the information on removing the light. It worked perfectly. I had wondered about that bar when I looked at it, but there also looked like other choices as well.

Well the bulb was not burnt out, but the female plug was arcing. I have the plug, but have not put it in yet. Have to get limbered up again to make the flexible bend to get to the back ever.

Thanks again,
Randy

You are welcome.

I had a similar issue with the plug. One of the pins was loose inside the plug and had to have the little retaining pin bent a little more.
