Has anyone replaced the LED Brakelight bar on the rear end of their coach. Half of mine is out, but it's not apparent how it comes out - no screws, so it must be held in place by the electrical connection and it's surrounded by a rubber or plastic gasket. Hate to take this to a mechanic - any tips about how it comes out? I assume it's and OEM part that has to come from Winnie.

I had mine replaced under warranty 4 years ago and these are the tech's notes from my service:
Had to remove upper access panel w/light on it. Removed old light, rewired new light and secured into place--tested OK. Reattached panel.
Don't know whether this will help at all...

If your willing to do a DIY, I would call Lonnie in the parts department of Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City Iowa. They carry Winnie parts and are only 1 mile from the factory.

Also, here is a previous link discussion where a forum member replaced the taillight on his 2004 Winnebago Sightseer and sources of where he obtained the replacement.

Chris B thanks for the tip - hope I don't need rewiring.

JC2, thanks for the links. I've emailed Lonnie so I am sure he'll get back to me. Appreciate your forum search - I tried, but didn't come up with the results you did. Appreciate your efforts.

Phil

Presumably the "access panel w/light on it" means the illumination light for the engine area above the radiator, not the stop light.
