While getting ready for our maiden voyage with our 07 Suncruiser, we were pulling up all the plastic the factory puts down in new units for protection. Left it in so we wouldn't make a mess while loading. I also had the first outside bin one the passenger side open.

My wife was pulling up the plastic behind the lounge chair and notice that there is a floor vent (like for heat) but that it leads right into the outside bin - nowhere else - nothing loose - no hoses hanging.

My question - is this the way it's supposed to be???

Hi Tom,

If it is like mine, it is the return air for the coach aux heater, which operates off the engine coolant.

If your filters for your basement air are located under the bed, recommend you check there for plastic remnants also. Had quite a bit under mine, restricting airflow to the indoor coil.

Happy Camping.
