Vista entry door hard to open/close

On my 2013 Vista 26 HE, the entry door is hard to open/close most of the time. The two large pins on the locking mechanism in the door are misaligned by about 1/16 inch with the two slots on the door frame striker plate. I don't see any adjustment to try to correct the problem. Am I missing something? Is any other Vista owner experiencing this problem? Has anyone solved the problem?

The only possible solution I can see is to try to file the slots on the striker plate.

Thanks for any help given.

Does the striker plate not move up and down? Every mh I've had had two large screws that held the striker plate to the doorframe and allowed you to move it for the very problem you state.

I just loosened the two screws but the plate does not move, up and down or fore and aft. It does seem strange there is no room for adjustment.

No problem with mine. It certainly looks like it should adjust.

I had the same problem on my Vista same year and model. Loosen screws and use a hammer and a blunt tool to adjust striker plate. Also make sure the screws in the door are flush and tight. IT WORKED FOR ME.
