Water flow problem

This morning I filled up my fresh water tank at campground we staying at using gravity fill but now when I turn the pump water start coming out of the nozzle normally us to hook up city water to (see pic).
First i thought it is the tank fill valve. But no matter which one i set it on, when I turn the pump on water it comes out of shore connection. Anyone ever had this issue...?Click image for larger version

Not had that identical problem, but on ours there is a check valve on the back side of the water hookup to prevent blowback. Could be yours has failed. Remove the two screws on the plate and gently ease it forward to gain access to the back. Easy to replace if that's the issue.

That was the problem, the check valve. I tapped it and started to work. Seems like calcification is not letting the to work right. Thanks for your help.

Those check valves are cheap plastic junk............a plastic plunger, spring and an O-ring

Clog up, jam, get cock-eyed or o-ring gets dislodged

Sometimes it's just easier to use a 3/4" PVC plug and screw it into connection when NOT using the city water

A quick fix if you are on the road is to purchase a hose plug fitting. You see these protecting hose inlets on the side of the RV. Screw that into the inlet and you have created your own check valve.

Remove the extension you have added to the fill valve and attach the white plastic plug hanging below it. Before you tighten the plug, make sure the internal check valve is centered in the fill opening.
