Water heater upgrading

Hi All,

Having just found out in my other thread that the water heater in my 2004 Sightseer is LP only, ( contrary to what the dealer mechanic told me ) I'm wondering if anyone has upgraded to an electric/LP unit in their motorhomes.

I would like to avoid the aftermarket fixes like PACE89 has accomplished. Terry, you are waaaaaaaaaay too handy.

If anyone has attempted this upgarde, did it affect the "motor aid" water heater system?

CW sells a rod that goes into the drain plug hole that works great. It was $50-75 a few years back.

The motor-aid system should not be impacted by the installation of an electrical heating rod. I haven't much bad about the after-market unit referred to by OldChief7155. It basically screws into the drain plug hole. You then hook it up to a 120 volt source and you're good to go. Click here:
