Water inlet spraying water out

Maybe some of you out there have experienced this but I never have...The fresh water hose inlet on my '06 Meridian has started spraying water out when I turn on the water pump. I might have to replace it but I'm hoping that there is a simple fix...?

It probably has a backflow valve unit that is stuck. Reach in and toggling back-and-forth a couple times and it will probably solve your problem.

If that does not stop the flow, until you can buy a replacement buy a standard hose plug/ screw-in stopper.

If you don't want to mess with replacing the check valve, I would install a 90 deg elbow( from rv store/WalMart) and a inline water hose shutoff valve.

I opened up the space where the hose connection/back-flow valve is located and it looks like a heck of a job to cut/re-install a new connection. I might try the elbow fitting for awhile. Thanks for the suggestions.
