I'am starting to have a problem with the water pump. Over night it will lose its prime and I have to run the faucet in the kit.sink(bath room sink will not work) and it will spit air then water and will start working again. The tank is full and this will not happen every night.
Is the water pump going out?????

Thanks Don and Barb

Don & Barb;

It sounds as if it is drawing air some place. I would suggest you check all your connections on your suction line from the tank to the pump. It would seem to me that if the pump it self were sucking air, water would leak out when it shuts down.

I am not speaking from experience as I have never had a problem with my pump. Maybe someone will pop in here with their thoughts.

Good Luck;
Don

Hi Ho: I think Don has you going in the right direction. A part which is known to fail is the filter right on the input to the pump. Mine is (was) plastic, and it got a small hole in it. As the hole got larger the problem you describe got worse.

Anyway, check it out.

Dirk

Thanks Guys. I think I found it.It was a small drip at the outside shower. I don,t think that was causing the prime think,but we shall see.
