Love the RV but every trip there is always something. Saw a small puddle of water under the rig at a place where it should not be wet.....right in front of the right rear wheel. Thought I might have a leak near the shower since that is the only water source anywhere near that spot. Looked under shower pan, dry as a bone. Investigated a bit more and saw water drippinp from little hose that drains the pan under the fridge. Wondered why that would be dripping since we've had no rain or other reason for water to be collecting under the fridge.

Opened the outside fridge access door and there was 3" of water in that pan and it was running over the rear down into the LP tank compartment. Drain stopped up . Blew out the drain hose and about a gallon of water came out . Further investigation revealed that the shop (CW) that just recently did my second Norcold recall had removed some of the insulation from the flue and just left it in that area. Also, they had not tightened the water fitting to the ice maker solenoid so it was leaking pretty good, filling the pan. Wet insulation they left in the pan clogged the drain .

There's more. Got out of bed at 5am today to visit the bathroom....stepped in wet, soppy carpet next to bed.....what???? As I approached the toilet room I could hear water running. Apparently when DW used the toilet at about 1am, the valve stuck slighty open, overfilling the bowl and flooding the floor . Fortunately, coach was not perfectly level and most of the water stayed in the right rear corner, running down into the compartments below and on the ground. So we're up at 5 cleaning up the mess. We keep a little Bissel green machine in the coach so it sucked most of the water out of the carpet. Will be running fans today for sure. I noticed yesterday that the flush valve was making a whistling noise so it may be failing. Will be replacing that as soon as I can get one (no RV parts here on Outer Banks).

Man, it is always something....but I love my RV, I love my RV, I love my RV.......

I know exactly what you mean. Someone told me once that having children was a good way to learn to have patience. I don't think he ever owned a motorhome.

I too, know what it's like to step out of bed, onto a sopping wet carpet. If you havent read my post on "Flooding Bedroom, Twice", you might want to. It's in the "Class A Forum". Basically, it tells about how a plastic water hose fitting on my hot water tank, broke....twice. Believe me, you don't want that to happen.

I agree with all the posts above.........there is always something!!!!!!!
I was parked a few weeks ago and I got a knock on the door while showering, went to the door and the guy next to me said there is tons of water leaking from under my coach, after I dressed, noted drips coming from the shower area, sh-t!!, last weekend found the access trap and noted that the P pipe was not connected, seems on the last service someone used the plumbing to steady themselves a bit since the plastic pipe was fractured downwards at the screw area, oh well off to Home depot (4 times) since they could not figure out what items I needed, seems the drain pipe went from 1 1/2 down to 1 1/4, yup you have everthing you need, NO when I returned to the RV sure enough, the parts did not fit...long story short, all is well now untill the next thing...I'm not complaining just saying....RV''s are not for the faint of heart!

BTW, I am having lots of fun doing reno's to the RV. We got it early January in the U.S. and so far, new TV in the living room, new recliner chair in the living room, new carpet, new pillows for the couch, new TV in the bedroom, new vessel sink for the bathroom, storage shelves for the hall closet, new bedspread, wine fridge . Will do the back splash on the stove and sideboard this summer. So far its looking spiffy!
