A couple weeks ago we were camping and a torent of rain and wind fell in about 1/2 hour. My weather pro awning failed to shed the water and the left side arm and hardware gave way. The cloth awning appears to be stretched out and the motor runs but it does not turn the the main tube. The awning came standard on our 2007 Journey 39K but the model number does not seem to match up with any information I can find. I'm being told the repair is going to run in the $3000 range. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Did your insurance cover the damage? Has anyone tackled a job like this?

Here are the model numbers from the roller tube and the arm tags: Roller 845EN20.0001S & Arm Assy 8553004.400S

Thanks in advance !
