I have been unable to find a place where I can weigh my Journey on all four corners, so I'm inflating my tires to the pressure listed inside the motorhome. Getting the front and rear is no problem, but I wonder about the difference between the left and right sides. As it is, I'm very close to the maximum weight on my 245/75R 22.5 tires and perhaps I should go up a size when I replace them next year.

Is there anyone who has the same motorhome, Winnebago Journey or Itaska Meridian, who has weighed four corners and can tell me who the sides compare?

Thanks,

Paul

Paul, call you state DOT and see if they have a crew with portable truck scales (most states do). They may be willing to do the 4 corner weight for you. I asked here in VA and they said yes and said they would/could meet in a local Walmart and do the weight for free.

Another suggestion would be check out RVSEF and see if you can get to one of their locations. You might contact them to see if they will be traveling near your location.
RVSEF will not only give you the weights but also do the math for your needed inflation. The state DOT guys may or may not.

If you can only get the weights contact RVSEF or drop me a PM and I can look up the correct mimimum inflation.

Thanks for the two suggestions. I will be checking them both.

Paul:
If at all possible weigh each wheel and adjust your tire pressure to the heaviest wheel. My Journey's left front is 800 lbs.heavier than the right and my right back is 500 lbs. heavier than the left. This is after adjusting the load as much as possible.

Send a message via ICQ to W8RLM
A few years ago, at the Winnebago State Rally in Virginia, the local Michelin dealer came to the rally and weighed any motorhome for free with individual scales for each wheel. If you are near Norfolk/Virginia Beach, you might want to check with them. I'd also try your local Michelin dealer to see if they have scales to do individual wheel weights.
