In a prior post, There was/is a lot of discussion about The weight Carring capabilities . Some of the gas coaches Had less then 1000 lbs carring capicity. Now you put 50 gallons fuel in it; That is 450 lbs Now you have Less the 600 lbs on available for more weight.. Now on the other hand a diesel chassic weather Sparten/Freightliner Prov ost can carry11250 lbs; they can carry a lot more. I post this only for the reason that you look it up on Your chassic and find the carring ability. You allways have that IDIOT that says I have enough power to pull that;; Friend most/all accidents are from;; not being able to STOP;;Please DO NOT EXEED THAT recomended;;. I have found they are dry/empty coaches weight;; Please be safe; Life is good;

When they calc out the cargo capacity they figure the coach has full gas tanks (Both propane and gasoline) and fresh water. so those weights do not count.. at least they did on mine, and they stated as much on the sticker.

You have to be careful when calculating your Cargo Carrying Capacity. Model year 2008 and earlier included the weights of the occupants (based on sleeping capacity) and the fuel but no house tankage. The calculation was changed within the industry with the 2009 model year and the details of the calculation are described in Winnebago Service Bulletin 2009-02 that can be downloaded on the Winnebago support site. The new calculation excludes all occupants and all house tankge and specifically spells out the weight of a full tank of water that must be deducted from the "labeled" capacity. This new calculation has the effect of increasing the apparent capacity by excluding the occupants weights which now adds 156 lbs times the sleeping capacity to the CCC on tthe label.

WOW, way to fudge the figures... Exclude necessary additions.

Suggestion: READ THE LABEL in detail.. As I said, on my coach they liste:

Weight of coach "Dry and empty"
Weight of fuel
Weight of Propane
Weight of water
Weight of passengers
_________
total of above
GVW
Difference (Cargo carrying capacity)

The label says exactly what is, and is not, included.

I have seen diesel pushers with less than 400 pounds of CCC and it is not uncommon to see 1200 pounds or so. Gassers aren't the only ones with low CCCs.
