Just returned from Reno today. In my previous post I was worried about the ice maker & freeze up. Well it was not a problem. I did have one refer. problem though. Traveling along HWY 395 I heard this beep-beep and the refer had a code light of LP-no. Anyway turned it off and worked on elect. only for the rest of the trip.
1ST NIGHT. Marina RV park in Sparks NV. This is definitly a 1st class place. 41.00 bucks a night for 5.
Next two night was in my bro-in-laws driveway at 15 amp. hook up.
We left thurs. morn. for a liesurly drive to Bishop, Ca. There was terrible weather incoming.
However at the Bug station at the Ca/NV border ther was a sign that said no RVs, high sided vehicles permitted. This was due to the winds and I was definetly feeling its impact. Not too bad to continue but worrisom.
Well Mind you this is right next to Topaz Lake and a 2 lane winding road for a few miles.
Anyway-no choice but to continue to a turn-around. Well,, just after the Lake I did not see any turn artounds and a Ca. Hwy Patrol pulled in front of me and slowed me down.
He came up to me a bellowed.,"Didnt you see that sign at the border, I said Yup- sure did,
However this is not a spot to park, back up or turn around, What do you want me to do. and I want to go to Bishop, Ca.
Anyway he had me turn around in a school parking lot. Something I would not normally consider.
Anyway turned around and went through Yerrigton NV. to HawthorneNV to HWY 6 and eventuallly got to Bishop. Wow, Drove all day for a 1/2 day trip.
Just beat the Storm coming into Bishop this morning. Not too bad winds, some slush at times on the windshield and finall put my rig to rest in its storage spot. At home, waiting for the storm to arrive.

No I do not. Anytime there is ice, or snow on the road, I stay put.
That was one of the reasons I left Bishop in a hurry, to beat the incoming storm.
Actually for the whole trip, except the last day it was nice weather, previous day winds from the weather front moving in.
