What is this?

I had my Motion Control Units installed earlier today. The shop had a lift that it used. As long as the coach was up in the air, I thought I'd take a walk under the coach. I noted all the big stuff, like the engine, transmission, fuel tank. In the middle of the coach, behind the fuel tank is a metal box. It measures about 6 feet long, 3 feet wide and about a foot high. The bottom is bolted along the edge with approximately 7/16" bolts. I took a picture of it, but it was too dark and it didn't come out.

The mechanics didn't know what it is and neither did I.

Does anyone know what it is?

Fresh water tank?

From your description it sounds like the fresh water tank.

I'll check for that. It cross my mind, but I thought it would be in the space between the coach floor and bottom, like the gray and black tanks.

That is your fresh water tank. It is a roto-molded plastic tank encased in a protective steel box. There should be an access panel on the very front near the drain pipe.
