What is this for? Weird spot for an outlet!

I removed the drawers below the closet to take a look at the condition of the wires coming out of the back of the circuit breaker/fuse panel and saw an empty 110 electrical outlet toward the back. Based on how it's wired it looks to be a functioning outlet.

To clarify - this outlet in empty (nothing plugged into it) AND hidden near the back wall under the closet. The only way to access it is to remove the drawers below the closet. This is also the space where all the wires come in to connect to the circuit breaker / fuse box.

Any idea what this is for?

It's on a 95 Minnie 300 327RC. I just added that to my signature. Sorry for leaving that off the OP

might be for a washer-dryer option that wasn't installed

Could be for a tv or satellite box if you don't have one, but maybe wanted to install one ?

Winnebago has a habit of using electric boxes for making connections then using "dummy" covers that look like an outlet but really are not. Are you sure you can actually plug something into it?

I haven't plugged anything into it yet because I didn't know what it was for. I looked at the wiring schematic and it is indeed a junction box. It's labeled "RECP-BLANK. JUNCTION". It looks like it feeds to all the accessible 110 outlets. I'll probably just leave it alone...
