Hi John,

According to the wiring diagram, it’s located in the ‘Front Electrical Box’, sheet 1 of 5, or on sheet 4 of 5 ‘Located in Under Hood Electrical Box’. Should be one in the same. There should be 3 circuit breakers associated with this box and the contactors will be inside. Download the complete parts, electrical, and plumbing diagrams for the UA as well as your own coach by following DriVer’s link as well as the second two listed here, you never know if they will always be there.

Hey John ... are you talking about the BIRD solenoid?? ...on my '03 there are two solenoids on the front wall of the compartment immediately under the driver seat. I presume you have found these. I have always assumed the BIRD solenoid is the one on the outside, as it is very warm to the touch all the time when plugged into shore power and I hear clicking from that compartment, particularly when boondocking. The inner one I presume is the battery disconnect solenoid ...but I haven't had to find out for sure. I do have the wiring diagrams for my coach mentioned in the other two posts, but they can be pretty difficult to figure out in some areas...

Thanks AFChap. I didn't know that the UA had a BIRD system. It isn't my motor home. His chassis batteries run down when on shore power, so possibly he has a problem with the BIRD controller. I did find the solenoids, but didn't look for a BIRD controller. Is it an Intellitec?

Hey John ...I didn' recall your having a UA ...now I know why ...you don't!

Yes ...Intellitec BIRD. On my '03 UA, the BIRD controller is mounted on ther rear wall of that same compartment, and clearly marked.
